Prices Vary

On my drive around Hillsborough and Pasco county today, I remembered I wanted to share with you guys about how prices can vary between stores of the same chain. I pay for that nifty data package on my phone and I *could* have just posted it. But, since I was in the car - and I am truly trying the whole "No phone zone", I decided to make up a song that would help me remember. So, I began to sing Prices Vary to the tune of the 80's hit "Voices Carry" by 'Til Tuesday. It worked. You can thank me for the tip I am about to give you. And you can yell at me later tonight when you realize you have been singing "Keep it down now......Voices Carry...Uh oh...." all day! ;)

Prices DO vary between stores. It may not be noticeable where you live, but it can add up. I know that the Publix in/near Fishhawk Ranch is more expensive than the West Tampa Publix. I don't recommend you drive an additional 10 miles to save $3. But, it may be possible to go to a different store that is closer to your work on your way home. And if your list is large for a particular week, it *could* save you enough to make a difference. Also, different stores offer "In Store Specials". There may be BOGO's that only THAT store is offering. There is no way to know this in advance. But, if you are lucky enough to have several Publix locations to choose from, try them all. You will notice after a few trips which locations seem to offer more coupons, pamphlets and In Store Specials.

I realize that not everyone has time to do this. And that's ok. Some people work, some people stay at home. Some people are at home but looking for work, which can be a full time job. Make couponing as involved as you want - or need it to be. I just wanted everyone to be aware and make the decision for themselves. Sometimes, in fact most of the time, every dollar helps.

Keep it down now......Prices vary......LOL Just kidding. :)
